Thirteen years after GTA V arrived on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Rockstar's return to Vice City is officially four weeks away. GTA 6 launches on Thursday, November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the studio's October 15 launch trailer front and centre — and there will be no version for the older PS4.
The official launch trailer, released on October 15 and captured entirely on PS5, races through the state of Leonida — introducing Jason, an Army veteran who "didn't leave on the best of terms", and Lucia Caminos, the first female lead in the series' history, fresh out of prison.
Development began in earnest after Red Dead Redemption 2 shipped in 2018, with the story of crime couple Jason and Lucia outlined by 2019. The pandemic, a deliberate no-crunch policy and two delays — from fall 2025 to May 26, 2026, and finally to November 19, 2026 — stretched the wait, Rockstar's publishing head told Bloomberg.
Rockstar's official listings cover only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19. GamesBeat reported on October 13 that a PC launch is planned for the first quarter of 2027, citing four industry sources — but Rockstar declined to comment and the timing remains unconfirmed.
The Heat's November 18 game against the Milwaukee Bucks — the night before launch — will turn the Kaseya Center into Vice City, with a special court design, new uniforms and a merchandise line. A neon "Welcome to Vice City" sign was lit atop the arena on October 1 to start the campaign.
Every pre-order includes the Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital pre-orders add a free first month of GTA+. Rockstar also published the official GTA 6 music page on October 17, confirming the soundtrack and the game's radio stations.
Little meaningful competition is scheduled directly against November 19 — the industry is treating the date less like a rival release and more like a weather event. The bar is high: GTA V took in more than $800 million on its first day in 2013 and crossed $1 billion within three days.

About Us
The Morning Edition · New Delhi, India
The Morning Edition is an independent digital newspaper published from New Delhi, India. Every morning we bring together the day's most important stories in one readable paper: top headlines, India and world news, business, sport, entertainment, health, education and gaming — including continuing coverage of major releases such as Grand Theft Auto VI — alongside the weather for ten cities in India and around the world.
What we publish
Each edition is organised into pages — a front page with the top stories and the weather, followed by World, Sport, Entertainment, Health & Education, and Gaming pages. Every headline in the paper links to the full story at the original publisher, so readers can always read the complete report at the source.
How we work
Our summaries are written in our own words from the reporting of established news organisations, and every story is credited to the publication that reported it. The banner art on our section pages is original illustration created for this newspaper; where a photograph appears, it is credited to its source. If we publish something wrong, we correct it — write to us through the Contact page and we will review the story.
Who we are
The Morning Edition is written and produced by a small independent newsroom in New Delhi. We are not affiliated with any of the publications we link to, and the views in linked stories belong to their authors and publishers.
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026 · Last updated: October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information The Morning Edition ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit this website (the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us: The Site has no accounts, registration or comment forms. If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we use them only to read and reply to you.
Log data: Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when you visit — your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used to operate, secure and improve the Site and is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies: We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies as described in Sections 3 and 4 below.
2. How we use information
To publish and deliver the newspaper and keep the Site working correctly;
To understand readership in aggregate so we can improve coverage and layout;
To respond to emails, corrections requests and other messages you send us;
To protect the Site against abuse, fraud and technical problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers described in this policy, or where required by law.
3. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. The Site uses:
Essential and preference cookies — to remember choices you make on the page, such as your preferred temperature unit (°C or °F), and to keep the Site functioning.
Advertising cookies — set by Google and its partners when advertisements are displayed, as described in Section 4.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. The newspaper will still work if you do, though some preferences may not be remembered.
4. Advertising — Google AdSense and third-party vendors
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising from Google at any time by visiting Google's My Ad Center, where you can turn off ad personalisation entirely.
You may also opt out of personalised advertising from many other third-party vendors through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page at www.aboutads.info.
Where the law requires consent before advertising cookies are used — for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — those cookies are used only in line with Google's EU user consent requirements. Opting out of personalised advertising does not remove ads; you will still see ads, but they will be based on the page you are reading rather than your browsing history.

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to the limited information we hold. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry; server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and maintenance.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will respond within a reasonable time.
